You know how all decor trends make their way back around? Well terrazzo tile is popping up everywhere again and we’re loving it! Terrazzo is made with bits of marble or granite set in concrete and is then polished to create a shiny surface. This 50s style tile is comes in so many different patters and colors and can be used for anything. We’ve seen it on floors, countertops, showers, even cut into serving boards and coasters! Some people have also taken the pattern and we’ve seen it printed on apparel, bags and wallpaper. Take a look at some of the terrazzo inspiration we’ve found!
This particular company we found called, Dzek, specializes in terrazzo tile. They have such a broad range of what they make and the end result is just gorgeous! Their style tends to have the larger pieces of granite and marble throughout their installations. It just makes such a statement, like the pop of color in the countertops above, or this whole wall covered in different shapes and sizes.
This is another beautiful statement wall. The smaller inlayed bits make it not as bold as the previous wall, but it definitely still makes for a great pattern!
These terrazzo floors are subtle enough with the grays and whites, so it doesn’t take away from this magnificent kitchen, but with the black sprinkled in there, it has just enough pattern to notice that there’s a little something special about them.
The flooring pictured above is such a pretty way to modernize terrazzo. We love the bigger pieces integrated in the tile with the different geometric and organic shapes. And those colors! Obviously we love the yellow, but that mixed with the slate blue and those cane chairs?! We just can’t get enough!
This playful wallpaper is another fun modern way to execute the terrazzo trend. Again, with the smaller print, the wallpaper makes for a great statement wall to mix in just about anything!
And last but not least, this terrazzo patterned tile floor. We love diamond shape of the single tile, the hexagon shape of the three together, and the different tones of the blush color with the gray and white specks in there.
Believe us now that this super 50s trend is back and better than ever? We can’t wait to see as people start to incorporate this into their homes!
